Leo Class is one of eight specialist centres attached to a mainstream school catering for the education of Key Stage 2 children with learning and additional needs.
Surrey specialist centres for learning and additional needs are designed to meet the needs of children with moderate learning difficulties as identified in their Educational Health Care Plan. All admissions take place through the Surrey County Council SEND admission process.
Leo Class offers quality provision for up to 12 children in Key Stage 2 with learning and additional needs (LAN) within a mainstream setting. With learning being the primary need, children may additionally have autism, speech and language needs, medical or physical needs. Through the additional support available within the class, children will gain strategies to manage increasing independence in their learning.
At Loseley Fields Primary School we see Leo Class as a centre for the inclusion of pupils with moderate learning difficulties within a thriving mainstream primary school. Pupils in Leo Class come from a wider local area than most of the mainstream school children and those eligible are entitled to school transport provided by Surrey County Council.
We thrive to ensure Leo Class pupils reach their full potential, intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially, to be independent and enthusiastic learners and to develop a love of learning, regardless of the barriers that stand in their way.
