As part of their history learning in their topic on ‘The Americas’, year six have been learning about the ancient civilization of the Maya. As well as making Maya Calendars, the children have been using their creative and artistic skills to design, make and evaluate Maya event and death masks.

This week, the children in year 6 have been learning about atoms and molecules. They became atoms and made molecules then tested and investigated their new found knowledge with a paperclip challenge that excited and amazed all involved.

Year 6 have really been enjoying learning about the industrial revolution this half term. After spending some time exploring the history behind the Industrial Revolution, the children have been looking at stories that focus on the plights of two young children living in London during the early part of the Victorian era.
