In November, each year group explored the theme of remembrance, linking this to elements of our history curriculum, and gaining an understanding of the impact of the past and the present on our lives today.
As well as focusing on the loss of lives in the World Wars, we also thought about what the concept of sacrifice means in today’s climate. The children wrote their words on poppy petals, linking this traditional symbol of remembrance to the modern day.
